Five days<\/strong> of meetings, discussions, testimonies, music and entertainment for children.\u00a0July 5 to 9<\/strong>\u00a0Loano hosts\u00a0\u201cWhat you have inherited from your fathers, regain it, to possess it.\u201d<\/strong><\/em>: the pre-meeting of the event dedicated to the\u2019\u00a0\u201cfriendship among peoples<\/strong><\/em>\u201d which since 1980\u00a0Communion and Liberation<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>organizes in August in Rimini.<\/p>\n

The initiative, promoted and implemented by the\u2019association Dear Beauty<\/strong>, from the \u201cHoly Father\" solidarity bank<\/strong>\u201d with the contribution of the\u2019Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong>, of the Marina of Loano<\/strong> and important sponsors such as Omnia Medica, Noberasco,, Loano 2 Village, BCC di Pianfei e Rocca de Baldi and Presscommtetech, aims to\u00a0To enrich the offerings of the riparian summer by increasing its cultural dimension<\/strong>. An event that, building on the success of the last edition, aims to bring for the second consecutive year the more than 30-year phenomenon of the Rimini Meeting to the\u00a0<\/strong>Marina of Loano<\/strong>. Thus, hundreds of thousands of young people from all over Italy will share their vacation days among beaches, clubs as well as inside conference halls to listen to the most significant voices in culture, economics, religions and international politics.<\/p>\n

The theme chosen for the 2017 edition, taken from a famous page of the Faust<\/em> by J.W. Goethe (\u201cWas du ererbt von deinen V\u00e4tern hast, erwirb es, um es zu besitzen!\u201d), places emphasis on the need to reappropriate what has been bequeathed to us.\u00a0What have we inherited? A sum of values? A history? Some truths? Today, in the age of post-truth, post-truth, what do we need to live? The \u201ccascade of information,\u201d in which true and false facts spread equally, means that what is true is no longer self-evident. But do humans need truth?<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>A preview of what can be heard in the Romagna city from Aug. 20-26, guests at the Loano pre-meeting<\/strong> will therefore confront each other<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>on the validity, persistence, or overcoming of values and assets inherited from past generations, asking whether and in what ways they still possess utility in meeting the challenges of the present<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Below is the program<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday, July 6 at 9 p.m.<\/strong>, in the Meeting Room of the\u00a0<\/strong>Marina of Loano<\/strong>\u00a0will be the professor\u00a0Giulio Tremonti<\/strong>\u00a0and the minister\u00a0Roberta Pinotti<\/strong>\u00a0to answer interviewers' questions about the contemporary meaning of the values that made our republic: work, national identity, justice. This will be continued the following evening,\u00a0Friday the 7th at 9:15 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0Giuliano Tavaroli<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0Professor Mastroianni<\/strong>, experts in telecommunications and social network security, who will seek answers to the question of the need for certainty for us and our children in the age of Blue Whale and post-truth. The current situation in the Middle East and its possible developments, and the confrontation between new generations and their original traditions, will be discussed\u00a0Saturday 8 at 6:30 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong>with Senator\u00a0Mario Mauro<\/strong>\u00a0and the Egyptian professor\u00a0Wael Farouq<\/strong>, with the extraordinary testimony of journalist\u00a0Dominic Quirico<\/strong>, a prisoner of Isis for five months.<\/p>\n

All meetings will be accompanied by a series of testimonies with protagonists investigating the burning present in the light of courageous personal experiences, in a close confrontation with their own traditions.\u00a0Friday 7 at 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0Fr. Claudio Burgio<\/strong>, who divides his days between the boys of the Beccaria juvenile prison and those of the Choral Chapel of Milan Cathedral, who will enter the deepest and most authentic folds of the soul of today's youth facing the challenge of becoming adults; while\u00a0Saturday 8 at 9 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0the actress of \u201cA Doctor in the Family\u201d\u00a0Beatrice Fazi<\/strong>, will tell how he recovered the faith of his fathers; and Fr.\u00a0Vincent Neagle<\/strong>, born into a California hippy family and landed in the St. Charles Priestly Community, currently chaplain of the institution that took in the last months of dj Fabo's life.<\/p>\n

Also, for the pleasure of those who will stroll the Francheville Pier in the evening,\u00a0will be American music played and told by the<\/strong>\u00a0Walter Muto's band to open the pre-meeting proceedings on Wednesday 5 at 9:30 p.m.<\/strong>. In the\u00a0successive evenings<\/strong>, however, heartwarming will be Neapolitan songs with\u00a0piano and voice over the sea by A. Galassi, Enzo Iannacci's historic pianist, with songs by Iannacci and Gaber.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He will close the event\u00a0Sunday 9 at 6:30 p.m. historian Marta Busani with a book presentation on the origins of Communion and Liberation<\/strong>: this, in fact, is the furrow in which the association Cara Belt\u00e0 and its dozens of volunteers fit, eager to rediscover in their roots the freshness of an openness to everything that, wherever it is discovered, represents an asset to be valued and shared with everyone. Even with the tourists who stroll along the pier on the warm evenings of the riparian summer.<\/p>\n
