And lately the idea of \u201c<strong>the less there is, the more there is<\/strong>\u201d, a special taste for subtraction, with the \u201c<em>willingness to strip the tracks, taking away where we normally add.\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Angelo Branduardi thus returns to acoustic music, capable of acquiring a different, almost esoteric breath, in search of the\u2019<strong>deep emotion<\/strong>. With him on stage <strong>Mauritius Fabricius<\/strong>, composer, multi-instrumentalist arranger, author of great hits written for historical interpreters of Italian music, as well as Angelo's collaborator and friend since the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Concert in two<\/strong> the artists will duet, switching from one instrument to another giving life to a musical game that will move from guitars to violin, from flutes to piano and beyond to amaze the audience and envelop them in musical whirlwind.<\/p>\n<p>The understanding that binds the two artists, that magical \u201caccrocchio\u201d(as Branduardi has always called it) allows them to <strong>play with your eyes closed<\/strong>, always knowing what the other is doing or about to do. In an exchange of emotion between the musician and those sitting in the theater, almost erasing the physical distance that divides them.<\/p>\n<p>The set list will be rich and varied. \u201cWanted\u201d songs and Branduardi's greatest hits will be re-proposed, reinterpreted by privileging feeling with the soul, precisely asking the audience to fill the space left vacant.<\/p>\n<p>As Angelo says: \u201c<em>The beauty of playing together is in trying to suggest rather than impose.\u201d As in a romantic question from the musicians to the audience, \u201cDo you want to invite us to your house? When he was a few months old, his family moved to Genoa, and there, at the Niccol\u00f2 Paganini Conservatory, Angelo earned his violin diploma and made his debut as a soloist with the conservatory orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>At the age of fifteen Angelo moved again, this time to Milan, and here he enrolled in the Technical Institute for Tourism, where he met and had the great poet Franco Fortini as his teacher for a long time.<br \/>\nHe later enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy and at that time he began to compose, setting to music the lyrics of his favorite authors: \u201cConfessions of a Mischief-maker\u201d from the Russian poet Esenin, still one of his most famous songs, in fact dates from those years.<\/p>\n<p>In the early 1970s, Angelo met.\u00a0<strong>Luisa Zappa<\/strong>, who would later become his coauthor, as well as his wife.<\/p>\n<p>These are the dates and stages of his\u00a0<strong>extraordinary career<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1974<\/strong>\u00a0- Record debut: RCA releases album.\u00a0<strong>\u201cAngelo Branduardi\u201d<\/strong>, arranged by Paul Buckmaster.<br \/>\n<strong>1975<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Moon\u201d<\/strong>, in collaboration with Maurizio Fabrizio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1976<\/strong>\u00a0- Branduardi changes record companies and goes to Polygram in Italy and Ariola for the rest of Europe. He publishes\u00a0<strong>\u201cAt the Eastern Fair.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0which earned him the Italian Record Critics' Award.<br \/>\n<strong>1978<\/strong>\u00a0- Exit\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Water Flea.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0in which Sardinian musician Luigi Lai, a virtuoso of the launeddas, an ancient wind instrument, appears as a guest. This album is followed by a very long tour that takes Branduardi all over Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1979<\/strong>\u00a0- Exit\u00a0<strong>\u201cCatch the first apple.\u201d<\/strong>, a highly successful album throughout Europe, awarded by German and European critics.<br \/>\nIn the same year Branduardi performed in Paris at the \u201cF\u00e8te de l'Humanit\u00e9,\u201d before an exceptional audience of 200,000 people.<br \/>\nThe event was followed in 1980 by the release of the live album\u00a0<strong>\u201cConcert\u201d<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>1980<\/strong>\u00a0- Tour starts\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Mediterranean Caravan\u201d<\/strong>, which has Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Ritchie Havens as regular guests.<br \/>\n<strong>1981<\/strong>\u00a0- Branduardi resumes collaboration with Paul Buckmaster on album\u00a0<strong>\u201cBranduardi\u201d<\/strong>, which earned him the best artist of the year award in Germany.<br \/>\n<strong>1983<\/strong>\u00a0- Exit\u00a0<strong>\u201cSeeking Gold\u201d<\/strong>, arranged by Maurizio Fabrizio, which was followed by a European tour of more than 50 concerts.<br \/>\nIn the same year Branduardi began working for the cinema.<br \/>\nComposes the soundtrack for Luigi Magni's film\u00a0<strong>\u201cBe good if you can.\u201d<\/strong>, for which he won the two most prestigious Italian awards: the \u201cDavid di Donatello\u201d and the \u201cNastro d'Argento.\u201d.<br \/>\nSoon after, Branduardi worked with German director J. Schaaf on the film reduction of\u00a0<strong>\u201cMomo\u201d<\/strong>, Michael Ende's famous novel.<br \/>\nLater again with Magni for \u201cAccording to Pontius Pilate\u201d and with Aurelio Chiesa for \u201cDistant Lights.\u201d.<br \/>\n<strong>1984<\/strong>\u00a0- Starts an Italian tour whose proceeds are donated to Unicef.<br \/>\n<strong>1985<\/strong>\u00a0- Exit\u00a0<strong>\u201cBranduardi Sings Yeats:<\/strong>\u00a0ten lyrics by the great Irish poet W. B. Yeats, translated and adapted by Luisa Zappa and set to music by Branduardi.<br \/>\n<strong>1988<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cBread and Roses\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1990<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Thief\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1992<\/strong>\u00a0- Branduardi switched to EMI and released throughout Europe his first\u00a0<strong>\u201cBest of\u201d<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>1993<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cIt can be done.\u201d<\/strong>, excellent public and critical success, followed by a European tour of more than sixty concerts.<br \/>\n<strong>1994<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cSunday and Monday\u201d<\/strong>. Authors of the texts, in addition to Luisa Zappa, are Paola Pallottino, Eugenio Finardi, Roberto Vecchioni and Pasquale Panella.<br \/>\nIn November of the same year, a tour began that took Branduardi to twenty theaters in Italy and over sixty locations in Europe.<br \/>\nFrom this tour comes the live album\u00a0<strong>\u201cWalking, walking.\u201d<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIncluded in the album are two unreleased tracks, made in the studio to texts by Giorgio Faletti, marking the beginning of a happy friendship and collaboration that would continue in the making of\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Finger and the Moon\u201d<\/strong>, in 1998.<br \/>\n<strong>1996<\/strong>\u00a0- Released by EMI Classics is the first\u00a0<strong>\u201cAncient Future,<\/strong>\u00a0made with the group \u201cChominciamento di Gioia\u201d and directed by maestro Renato Serio: sacred and profane pages from the Middle Ages and early Renaissance.<br \/>\n<strong>1998<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cBranduardi Studio Collection:<\/strong>\u00a033 songs spanning Branduardi's discography.<br \/>\n<strong>1999<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cAncient Future II\u201d<\/strong>, dedicated to the music of Mainerio (Music of the 15th and 16th centuries.)<br \/>\n<strong>2000<\/strong>\u00a0-\u00a0<strong>\u201cThe Infinitely Small.\u201d<\/strong>: eleven songs on texts from the Franciscan Sources.
