{"id":8772,"date":"2017-02-27T12:50:27","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T11:50:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=8772"},"modified":"2017-02-27T12:50:27","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T11:50:27","slug":"brown-zones-historical-political-seminar-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/8772\/news\/zone-brune-seminario-storico-politico-2\/","title":{"rendered":"BROWN ZONES - HISTORICAL-POLITICAL SEMINAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (02\/27\/2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, March 1, <\/strong>a <strong>Loano<\/strong>, will close the series of seminars \u201c<strong>Brown Zones - social-nationalisms and the crisis of democracy<\/strong>\u201d, organized by the\u2019<strong>A.N.P.I of Loano <\/strong>in collaboration with <strong>the Stella del Carmo Association<\/strong>, under the auspices of the <strong>Municipality of Loano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The last public meeting of character <strong>historical and political<\/strong> will be dedicated to the theme <strong>\u201cMe and Others\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As of the <strong>9 p.m. <\/strong>at <strong>Civic Library<\/strong>, Prof. <strong>John Zanelli <\/strong>will explore the problematic relationship between the vocation to internationalism of original socialism and the materialization of overt nationalistic exaltations even in that political field and the <strong>Luigi Vassallo<\/strong> will examine the relationship between globalization and the defense of national identity.<\/p>\n<p>The evening will include the introduction of topics by professors <strong>Zanelli<\/strong> e <strong>Vassallo<\/strong> and then the interventions of the participants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe seminar series \u201c<strong>Brown Zones - social-nationalisms and the crisis of democracy<\/strong>\u201d-the organizers explain- was born out of a desire to stimulate the formation of critical consciousness through participatory discussion. The theme of the evenings of this cycle is the <strong>social-nationalism<\/strong>, a political tendency that associates the exaltation of the nation with the social question. This strategy has historically belonged to Nazi - fascisms and is renewed in the weave of the discourse of today's populisms.
