{"id":8725,"date":"2017-02-16T13:22:32","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T12:22:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=8725"},"modified":"2017-02-16T13:22:32","modified_gmt":"2017-02-16T12:22:32","slug":"childrens-carnival-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/8725\/news\/carnevale-dei-bambini-4\/","title":{"rendered":"CHILDREN'S CARNIVAL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (02\/16\/2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, February 18, at Loano<\/strong>, the first of two appointments of the <strong>CarnevaL\u00f6a 2017 <\/strong>dedicated to the<strong> children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Loano carnival, organized by the\u2019<strong>Old Loano Association <\/strong>with contributions from the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano <\/strong>also this year includes more than one initiative.<\/p>\n<p>After the handing over of the keys with the parade of masks from <strong>Liguria<\/strong>,<strong> Piedmont<\/strong>,<strong> Lombardy<\/strong>,<strong> Emilia Romagna <\/strong>e <strong>Veneto<\/strong>, which was held in late January, children will be the stars for two consecutive Saturdays of the most fun party of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment for the first afternoon of games, entertainment and music will be in <strong>Italy Square<\/strong>, starting with the <strong>3 p.m.<\/strong>. Waiting for the children will be <strong>\u201cU Becianc\u00ecn.\u201d,<\/strong> King of Carnival and the official mask of Carneval\u00f6a, and <strong><em>\u201c<\/em>U Pu\u00e8 Peppin\u201d <\/strong>the traditional carnival mask at Loano.<\/p>\n<p>The little ones will have fun playing masquerade with original costumes, colorful wigs and colorful makeup. For one day they will dress up in the outfits of famous fairy tale protagonists or characters born from mothers' imaginationsThe party will close with a snack of carnival sweets.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>CarnevaL\u00f6a <\/strong>of children will return the <strong>February 25<\/strong> in <strong>Place Massena<\/strong> With the traditional pi\u00f1ata.<\/p>\n<p>The largest carnival in Liguria will then give two parades of floats in the beautiful setting of the Loano waterfront.<\/p>\n<p>I <strong>13<\/strong> <strong>carts<\/strong> made by carnival artisans will parade down Corso Roma (waterfront) on the <strong>February 26 <\/strong>and the<strong> March 5<\/strong>, accompanied by marching bands, majorettes and walking masked groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday, February 26<\/strong> as part of the parade will take place the <strong>Village Palio<\/strong>, a carnival competition involving floats representing the villages of Loano.
