{"id":8718,"date":"2017-02-13T10:40:12","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T09:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=8718"},"modified":"2017-02-13T10:40:12","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T09:40:12","slug":"brown-zones-social-nationalisms-crisis-of-democracy-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/8718\/news\/zone-brune-social-nazionalismi-crisi-della-democrazia-2\/","title":{"rendered":"BROWN ZONES - SOCIAL-NATIONALISMS AND THE CRISIS OF DEMOCRACY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (02\/13\/2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, Feb. 15, <\/strong>a <strong>Loano<\/strong>, will continue the series of seminars \u201c<strong>Brown Zones - social-nationalisms and the crisis of democracy<\/strong>\u201d, organized by the\u2019<strong>A.N.P.I of Loano <\/strong>in collaboration with <strong>the Stella del Carmo Association<\/strong>, under the auspices of the <strong>Municipality of Loano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The third public meeting of character <strong>historical and political<\/strong> will be devoted to the theme \u201c<strong>Green despair<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>As of the <strong>9 p.m. <\/strong>at <strong>Civic Library<\/strong>, the topic of current social - nationalisms will be explored, with a clear reference to the experience of the Northern League.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. <strong>John Zanelli <\/strong>will present a synopsis of \u201cGreen Swastika,\u201d an investigative book on the ideological proximity between Leghism and early National Socialism. Prof. <strong>Luigi Vassallo<\/strong> will examine the relationship between current populism and its classical forms.<\/p>\n<p>The evening will include the introduction of topics by professors <strong>Zanelli<\/strong> e <strong>Vassallo<\/strong> and then the interventions of the participants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe seminar series \u201c<strong>Brown Zones - social-nationalisms and the crisis of democracy<\/strong>\u201d-the organizers explain-is aimed at stimulating the formation of a critical consciousness through participatory discussion. Numerous and rich will be the starting points from which to build together a path of formation and consciousness raising. The theme of the evenings is the <strong>social-nationalism<\/strong>, namely that political tendency to associate the exaltation of the nation with the social question. This strategy has historically belonged to Nazi - fascisms and is renewed in the texture of the discourse of today's populisms.
