{"id":7240,"date":"2016-06-06T13:05:05","date_gmt":"2016-06-06T11:05:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=7240"},"modified":"2016-06-06T13:05:05","modified_gmt":"2016-06-06T11:05:05","slug":"concerts-san-torpete-luca-scandals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/7240\/news\/concerti-san-torpete-luca-scandali\/","title":{"rendered":"THE CONCERTS OF SAN TORPETE \u2013 LUCA SCANDALI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (2\/06\/2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, June 4,<\/strong> a <strong>Loano,<\/strong> the tenth edition of the traveling exhibition will make a stop <strong>St. Torpes concerts, <\/strong>organized by the\u2019<strong>Association of Friends of the Organ of Genoa<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Brotherhood<\/strong><strong> of the Turks' Chapels<\/strong> and with the <strong>Sponsorship of the City of Loano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The musical project aims to promote some of the most valuable historical organs in the Liguria region. This season is also characterized by a focus on ancient and baroque music and the participation of some of the most acclaimed soloists.<\/p>\n<p>The concert scheduled at <strong>9 p.m.<\/strong>, in the\u2019<strong>Oratory of Our Lady of the Rosary <\/strong>(Cappe Turchine), will feature <strong>Luca Scandali<\/strong> that will play the ancient <strong>Agati organ<\/strong>, restored to its former glory thanks to a meticulous restoration carried out in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>The characteristics of the Agati organ contributed to some extent to determining the concert program, a veritable anthology of Italian composers that accompanies the listener through the pre-Risorgimento and Risorgimento periods with heroic, vigorous music (such as Bellini's march) but, at the same time, characterized by poignant arias rich in pathos. Pieces will be performed by <strong>Peter Morandi <\/strong>(1739-1815),<strong> Domenico Cimarosa <\/strong>(1749-1808),<strong> Niccol\u00f2 Moretti <\/strong>(1763-1821),<strong> Felice Moretti <\/strong>(1791-1863),<strong> Vincenzo Bellini <\/strong>(1801-1835).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luca Scandali<\/strong> \u2013 Born in Ancona in 1965, he graduated with honors in Organ and Organ Composition under the guidance of Maestro Patrizia Tarducci and in Harpsichord, also with honors, at the Conservatory of Music \u201cG. Rossini\u201d in Pesaro, where he subsequently obtained a diploma in Composition under the guidance of Mauro Ferrante. Of great importance to his artistic training were lessons with Ton Koopman, Andrea Marcon, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, and Liuwe Tamminga. He is dedicated to the study of issues related to the performance practice of Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic music, including through the study of treatises and instruments of the period.<\/p>\n<p>He has held masterclasses and advanced courses and has performed at numerous important festivals in Italy and abroad (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine), mainly as a soloist, but also in various chamber and orchestral ensembles (L'Arte dell'Arco \u2013 Padua, Cappella della Piet\u00e0 de\u2019 Turchini \u2013 Naples, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse \u2013 France, Venice Baroque Orchestra \u2013 Venice). He currently holds the chair of Organ and Organ Composition at the \u201cF.
