{"id":7174,"date":"2016-05-26T09:15:24","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T07:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=7174"},"modified":"2016-05-26T09:15:24","modified_gmt":"2016-05-26T07:15:24","slug":"white-night-and-events-at-princes-garden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/7174\/news\/notte-bianca-ed-eventi-al-giardino-del-principe\/","title":{"rendered":"WHITE NIGHT AND EVENTS AT PRINCE'S GARDEN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE <\/strong><strong>(25\/05\/2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He will be the big name in Italian music. <strong>Umberto Tozzi<\/strong>, to ignite the <strong>White night<\/strong>, which<strong> Saturday, June 25<\/strong>, a <strong>Loano<\/strong>, will kick off the great season of summer events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The long night of entertainment<\/strong>, promoted by the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong> and organized in collaboration with the\u2019<strong>ASCOM Loano<\/strong>, will be enlivened by live concerts and DJ sets in the streets, squares, and along the seafront. The city's venues will offer original tasting points, and shops will be open until late at night.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the evening will be the concert in <strong>Italy Square<\/strong>, organized by the <strong>I.So THeatre,<\/strong> which will feature <strong>Umberto Tozzi<\/strong>. The Turin-based artist will perform songs from his latest album and some of his unforgettable hits.<\/p>\n<p>Umberto Tozzi's artistic career began in the 1970s, first as a songwriter (in 1971, the song \u2019Un corpo un'anima,\u201c written with Damiano Dattoli and performed by Wess and Dori Ghezzi, won Canzonissima, while in 1976, the song \u201dIo camminer\u00f2\u201c was made a hit by Fausto Leali) and then as a singer-songwriter with the unforgettable: \u201d<strong>I Love You<\/strong>\u201c, one of Tozzi's most famous songs, which rose to number one in the charts and remained there for seven months, breaking all sales records.\u201c<strong>You\u201d<\/strong> and above all \u201c<strong>Gloria<\/strong>\u201d which is perhaps Tozzi's biggest hit in Italy and worldwide. Umberto Tozzi's success continued in the following years with great songs such as \u201c<strong>Pink Night<\/strong>&#8220;, &#8220;<strong>Eva<\/strong>&#8220;, &#8220;<strong>Sea People<\/strong>\u201d(sung with Raf),\u201c<strong>You can give more<\/strong>\u201d(which, sung together with Gianni Morandi and Enrico Ruggeri, won the 1987 Sanremo Festival),\u201c<strong>The others are us<\/strong>\u201d and other songs that made Umberto Tozzi famous, a singer-songwriter who, like few others, was able to combine quality with great popular success.<\/p>\n<p>As the curtain falls on the white night, the spotlight will turn to the\u2019<strong>Prince's Garden Summer Arena,<\/strong> which will be the main stage for Loano's summer shows. <strong>Music, d<\/strong><strong>anza, cabaret, cinema, children's theater, book presentations<\/strong>\u00a0will be at the center of the program, promoted by the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong> and curated by the<strong>\u00a0I.So THeatre\u00a0<\/strong>with the artistic direction of<strong>\u00a0Luca Malvicini<\/strong>. Once again this year, the program will be enriched by performances offered by the many associations in Loano.<\/p>\n<p>The musical season at the Giardino del Principe will range from pop concerts to opera, from singer-songwriter music to classical music and musicals.<\/p>\n<p>The program will open with the show<strong> \u201c<\/strong><strong>Sore notes<\/strong><strong>\u201d of the <\/strong><strong>Osiris Band <\/strong><strong>(<\/strong><strong>July 9<\/strong><strong>).<\/strong> The four reckless members of the band, taking inspiration from the book of the same name, \u201cLe dolenti note. Il mestiere del musicista: se lo conosci lo eviti\u201d (The painful notes. The musician's profession: if you know it, avoid it), will transform the written pages into a musical-theatrical journey that touches on all musical genres: from Balkan to folk, from jazz to classical, from rap to pop. With their distinctive mimicry, instrumental and singing skills, the four protagonists will have fun ironically dispensing provocative advice to those who dream of becoming musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Swing and harmonized singing are the main ingredients of the show \u201c<strong>The Singing Family<\/strong>\u201d(July 15), a journey through time to the atmosphere of the legendary 1930s. The star of the evening will be the vocal trio S<strong>orelle Marinetti.<\/strong> The three singing actors, perfectly dressed in women's clothing, will recount and sing about the legendary years between the two wars, following the syncopated style of Trio Lescano, the first female vocal group in Italy to sing using the \u201charmonized singing\u201d technique.\u201d<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>The <\/strong><strong>July 20<\/strong> the curtain will rise on<strong>\u2019<\/strong><strong>Carlo Felice Theater Orchestra<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong>who will perform the Overture to \u201c<strong>Don Juan<\/strong>\u201d and the \u201c<strong>Concerto No. 20 for Piano and Orchestra in D minor K466<\/strong>\u201d  by <strong>Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart<\/strong> and the \u201c<strong>Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21<\/strong>\u201d of <strong>Ludwig van Beethoven<\/strong>. The concert will be conducted by <strong>Anthony Arcaini<\/strong>, on the piano there will be<strong> Gulnara Fatykhova. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The music season at the Prince's Garden will host, on <strong>August 5<\/strong>, <strong>Amedeo Minghi<\/strong>. The well-known Roman singer-songwriter will revisit pages from his past as a songwriter and retrace his long career with his greatest hits. It was 1966 when Amedeo Minghi began to make a name for himself with the general public by recording his first 45 rpm single for Dischi Ricordi, containing the songs \u201cAlla Fine\u201d and \u201cMa Per Fortuna,\u201d both written by Mogol. In 1976, \u201cL'immenso\u201d marked his first success as a songwriter. Since then, the artist has had a remarkable career, leaving his mark on the history of Italian songwriting.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>August 6<\/strong> the <strong>BIT Company<\/strong> will present <strong>\u201cAll that musical<\/strong>\u201dA show inspired by Broadway's greatest hits: from \u201cA Chorus Line\u201d to \u201cNotre Dame de Paris,\u201d from \u201cMoulin Rouge\u201d to \u201cThe Phantom of the Opera,\u201c from \u201dCabaret\u201c to \u201dSaturday Night Fever,\u201c and finally \u201dGrease.\".<\/p>\n<p>The musical will give way to <strong>August 14<\/strong> to the new promise <strong>Francesco Gabbani<\/strong>, Tuscan singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, winner of the 2016 Sanremo Festival among the new entries.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>August 15<\/strong> will take to the stage of the Prince's Garden <strong>Orietta Berti<\/strong>. The artist who needs no introduction, since his first triumph in 1964, he has continued to reap success and acclaim, winning over audiences of all ages with his splendid voice and his distinctive charm and irony.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the musical program will feature an evening dedicated to the most beautiful pages of \u201c<strong>The Troubadour<\/strong>\u201d of <strong>Giuseppe Verdi<\/strong> (<strong>August 27<\/strong>). The staging, curated by\u2019<strong>\u201cReturn to the Work\u201d Association\u201d<\/strong>, will combine a narrated presentation of the most significant moments of the story with performances of the most famous pieces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They will be <strong>three evenings<\/strong> by <strong>dance<\/strong> featured in the <strong>Prince's Garden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>July 3<\/strong> The dance festival will open with the national competition. <strong>Loano in Dance<\/strong> organized by the <strong>Ballet of Liguria<\/strong>. Dance schools, soloists, and couples will perform on the open-air theater stage, with their choreography being evaluated by a jury of experts. <strong>Mauro Astolfi, Cristina Amodio, Luka Raimondi.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>29<\/strong> <strong>July<\/strong>, always the <strong>Ballet of Liguria<\/strong> will present <strong>\u201cMediterranean Dances\u201d<\/strong>, a show that will feature traditional dances from various countries, particularly Italy. In the first part of the show, the dancers will perform to Afro rhythms from Morocco and Arabia, then showcase the colors of Turkey, ending with a lively Sirtaki.<\/p>\n<p>The second half will be entirely dedicated to southern Italy and its traditional dances: the tarantella, the tammurriata, and the pizzica.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the <strong>Aug. 20, <\/strong><strong>Sabrina Rinaldi, Marcello Algeri with the Ariston Proballet Company <\/strong>\u00a0will present \u201c<strong>Love &amp; Tango<\/strong>\u201d, a show that combines modern dance with the spirit and language of tango and the swing of Frank Sinatra's timeless music. The rapid, characteristic movements of Argentine tango and the \u201ccool\u201d of Sinatra's swing give way to a modern neoclassical technique that will stir up great emotions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2016 edition promises great fun. <strong>Cabaret<\/strong>, which offers four evenings in the company of well-known national comedy personalities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off the review will be the award night of the <strong>\u201cThe trash that we were...\u201d award.\u201d<\/strong>, (<strong>7<\/strong> <strong>July<\/strong>), which this year will be awarded to <strong>Goofy Franco<\/strong>, the hugely popular Roman comedian \u2013 actor, singer, cabaret artist, television presenter \u2013 who in the 1970s and 1980s<\/p>\n<p>has appeared in numerous Italian comedy films. <strong>Goofy Franco<\/strong> will treat the Loano audience to a sparkling show, looking back with irony, cheerfulness, and a touch of satire on his long career spent entertaining generations of audiences.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will continue with the great comic actor <strong>Renato Pozzetto<\/strong> which will present <strong>\u201cSince the other one is busy\u201d (July 28)<\/strong>, a new and original theatrical experiment in cinecabaret. Reasoning, gags, and moments of great comic theater will allow you to retrace his entire artistic career from its beginnings with the Derby in Milan and all the great collaborations and friendships of the years that followed. A journey through 10 years of cabaret, 15 years of theater, and 30 years of cinema, featuring all his most famous jokes, with video projections and commentary on some of his most famous cinematic successes.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>August 7<\/strong> will be the star of the season of smiles <strong>Enzo Paci<\/strong>, a stand-up comedian known to the general public for his participation in <strong>Colorado. <\/strong>\u00a0\u201c<strong>Bhu! fear is 90<\/strong>\u201d is the title of the ironic and entertaining show that Paci will present at Loano, a monologue featuring bizarre characters that the artist will interpret with the same ease with which he plays the role of narrator.<\/p>\n<p>The cabaret event will conclude with <strong>Pine and antibodies <\/strong>(<strong>August 19<\/strong>). The stars of Colorado will return to the stage in Loano, reviving the characters that made them beloved by the public, such as Pino La Lavatrice with his catchphrase \u201cNo problem... You tell me what to do... and I'll do it,\u201d Cosimo with his dog Fuffi, and a series of other characters never before seen on TV, with a succession of different comic genres: from monologues to sketches to parodies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>New this year will be the <strong>magic<\/strong> who will be present with the show <strong>Antonio Casanova \u201cAenigma\u201d<\/strong> scheduled on <strong>July 31<\/strong>. The illusionist of the small screen, winner of the Oscar for Magic in 2009 and 2015, will meet the public in a show based on the book by <strong>Lorenzo Beccati<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Prince's Garden program will also offer three events featuring <strong>prose<\/strong>. The <strong>July 12<\/strong> the play \u201c<strong>(Un)tied\u201d <\/strong>by and with <strong>Mattia Fabris, Jacopo Bicocchi<\/strong>, a theatrical adaptation of Joe Simpson's book \u201cTouching the Void.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>August 4<\/strong> it will be up to the theatrical text <strong>\u201cKnock Knock\u201d <\/strong>by Laurent Baffie. Full of humor but also with a touch of malice and tenderness, this entertaining comedy will be performed by <strong>Miriam Mesturino, Alessandro Marrapodi, Simonetta Guarino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>August 12<\/strong> <strong>Cinzia Leone<\/strong> will be the star of \u201c<strong>Mom, you're always on my mind. Move!\u201d<\/strong>. Ironic, theatrical, and chameleon-like, Cinzia Leone will attempt to explain the long-standing issue of cutting the umbilical cord in her hilarious show.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In summer 2016, it will return to enliven the\u2019<strong>Prince's Garden Summer Arena <\/strong>the program of performances of <strong>kids theater<\/strong>, free admission, dedicated to families, part of the project <strong>\u201cLoano for the Family\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The children's theater season will host some of the shows from the extensive production of the <strong>Mad Grass Theater<\/strong>, a significant national theater production company,  which has its center in<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>production <strong>Vezzi Portio<\/strong> in the hinterland of Finale Ligure. The strong point of the theater project directed by <strong>Daniele Debernardi<\/strong>\u00a0 is a continuous journey of narrative exploration, through the use of animated puppetry and original music and sound design. The events with the <strong>Mad Grass Theater<\/strong> will kick off on <strong>July 27 <\/strong>with \u201c<strong>Orcs. The true story of Gelsomino and Bedelia\u201d<\/strong> A cheerful and entertaining show, created with large puppets and constantly changing scenery, which tells the story of an ogre who, at sunset, magically turns into a beautiful girl.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>August 3<\/strong>, Daniele Debernardi will present a show about beauty: \u201c<strong>The prince of swine<\/strong>\u201dThe techniques used will be those of animated puppet theater, combined with shadows and silhouettes.  The <strong>August 10<\/strong>, it will be the turn of the story, with the help of large puppets, of the fairy tale \u201c<strong>The three little pigs<\/strong>\u201d in a fantastic setting where houses, trees and the pigsty will change shape before the eyes of the audience in a magical arrangement of environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Steadfast Tin Soldier\u201d <\/strong>staged on <strong>August 24<\/strong>, will offer a dreamlike and imaginative reinterpretation of the fairy tale by <strong>Hans Christian Andersen<\/strong>, in which, among enormous objects, the actor-narrator will become the spirit of the toys and give them voice and life.<\/p>\n<p>The last event with the Teatrino dell'Erba Matta will be on August 31 with another fairy tale.\u201c<strong>Puss in Boots\u201d<\/strong>. In the adaptation of <strong>Daniele Debernardi<\/strong>, which will use animated figure theater techniques performed by an actor, with characters jumping out of small theaters whose sets are based on Van Gogh's paintings.<\/p>\n<p>The children's theater program will be completed by the show <strong>A Wide Variety of Charlatans<\/strong> (<strong>August 17<\/strong>). La <strong>Company of Charlatans<\/strong> will create an entertaining show, in which, between jokes, clubs, balls, torches, and rings will fly through the air, and classic magic tricks will be performed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>cinema<\/strong> will be present with two exhibitions. From <strong>July 4 to 6<\/strong> A retrospective dedicated to Italian comedy will be presented., <strong>\u201cThe trash that we were...\u201d<\/strong> , which this year will feature <strong>Goofy Franco<\/strong>. The evenings of cinema dedicated to laughter and comedy will feature three films: \u201cIl casinista\u201d (1980), \u201cCiao Marziano\u201d (1980), and \u201cNerone\u201d (1977). In collaboration with the <strong>CAI Section of Loano<\/strong> The second edition of the festival dedicated to documentary films on the environment and landscape will then be presented. The program will kick off with the screening of the film \u201c<strong>The front and back. Ski touring in various environments using the telemark technique.<\/strong>\u201d by Alberto Sciamplicotti (<strong>July 19<\/strong>).
