Preparations are in full swing for the seventh edition<\/strong> of Vibram\u00ae <\/strong>Maremontana<\/strong> - Cencin De Francesco Memorial<\/strong>, which will take place, in Loano,<\/strong> the April 3 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be three mountain running race routes with the novelty of the competition<\/strong> by 60 km with 3481 m<\/strong> of positive elevation gain that will cross 11 municipalities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The sports event, is organized by the Maremontana ASD<\/strong> with contributions from the\u2019Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong>, in collaboration with the\u2019Balla Coi Cinghiali Association, CAI Loano, CRI Loano, SMTS Liguria and ARI Loano. <\/strong>Title sponsor will again this year be the Vibram\u00ae<\/strong>, a world leader in the production and marketing of rubber soles. The event will also be supported by Eolo, Forst and Delbalzo Supermarkets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLoano continues to believe in sports. - says the mayor Luigi Pignocca<\/strong> - The Vibram\u00ae Maremontana, which we are hosting for the third year, has made it possible to strengthen the image of our area in the outdoor sphere. Loano with its hinterland not only offers the opportunity to host world-class sporting events such as this one, but can increasingly represent an excellent base in the Ligurian outdoor tourism supply network.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are already more than<\/strong> 400 the enrolled<\/strong> to the three competitions,\" says Councillor Remo Zaccaria<\/strong> - and these include Swiss, French, Russian and German athletes. Vibram\u00ae Maremontana, in fact, is also promoted abroad, with positive benefits for our nature-sports tourism. Along with the athletes will come the companions and families, who will stay in our city. We expect more than eight hundred arrivals that weekend. The program, in fact, offers next to the races an 11-kilometer, non-competitive, free-step walk aimed at enthusiasts of fitwalking and nordic walking<\/strong>. A nice opportunity to spend a pleasant Sunday outdoors, engaging in the art of walking.\u201d<\/p>\n
