It is renewed in the 2016 <\/strong>the hiking program \u201cLoano not only sea\u201d<\/strong>, curated by the Loano section of the C.A.I.<\/strong>. under the auspices of the\u2019Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the<\/strong> Municipality of Loano.<\/strong><\/p>\n

New Year's trips are an invitation to discover the natural and artistic heritage of the Ligurian hinterland. The itineraries chosen by the C.A.I. of Loano alternate routes immersed in nature with trips among ancient villages, churches, castles and majestic fortifications. This year also includes destinations outside the region, in neighboring France and urban trekking in the city of Turin. Finally, the calendar includes two hikes with trail cleaning activities, which aim to contribute to the preservation of nature trails.<\/p>\n

From January to June<\/strong> and by September to December<\/strong>, residents and tourists can spend pleasant days in the open air accompanied by expert guides.<\/p>\n

The proposed field trip, g<\/strong>io Thursday, Jan. 14<\/strong>, has as its goal the Borgate of Varigotti.<\/strong> From the historic seaside village of Varigotti you will ascend among vegetable gardens, olive groves and Mediterranean scrub. It will cross the Selva locality and reach the Manie plateau and the hamlet of Isasco. From here, with gentle ups and downs you will lose altitude and touching the ancient villages of Chien and Pino you will return to the historic center of Varigotti, where you can admire the characteristic Mediterranean-Saracenic architecture.<\/p>\n

Departure is at 8:30 a.m.<\/strong>. The meeting place is in Valerga Square<\/strong> \u00a0(market square).<\/p>\n

For non-members CAI accident insurance is compulsory, to be taken out by calling Laura Panicucci tel. 019 672366, cell. 349 7854220, if absent Elena Ghiglione cell 333 9384941, by 12 noon the day before the excursion. Without Insurance you will not be able to participate in the excursion.<\/p>\n

Participants should have appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for the \u2019mountain environment. Trip leaders will not admit those who do not have the proper requirements.<\/p>\n
