{"id":6404,"date":"2015-12-28T09:07:47","date_gmt":"2015-12-28T08:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=6404"},"modified":"2015-12-28T09:07:47","modified_gmt":"2015-12-28T08:07:47","slug":"winter-swimming-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/6404\/news\/cimento-invernale-di-nuoto\/","title":{"rendered":"WINTER SWIMMING COMPETITION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (12\/26\/2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, December 28, <\/strong>As is now tradition, the bravest daredevils will gather on the beach of <strong>Loano<\/strong> To participate in the end-of-year plunge.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>XXIXth Winter Swimming Endeavor, <\/strong>promoted by the <strong>Tourism Departments <\/strong>and to the<strong> State Property of the Municipality of Loano<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>Italian Bathing Union of Loano<\/strong>, the<strong> Italian Swimming Federation Lifeguarding<\/strong>, the <strong>Coast Guard of Loano, the Doria Swimming Society, <\/strong>will take place in the stretch of water in front of the <strong>Neptune Baths. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Professional swimmers will be arriving from all over Liguria and northern Italy, who will test themselves by facing the winter sea for a dip of a few seconds or, for the more trained, a ten-minute dip.<\/p>\n<p>From 10 a.m. registration will open. The plunge is announced at 11 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The seashore party will be enlivened by Luca Valentini, who will set the pace for the tryouts engaged in the warm-up activity with a rich lineup of music.<\/p>\n<p>While waiting for the sea bath, volunteers <strong>O.P.S.A<\/strong> (multi-purpose water rescue operators) of the Savona Provincial Committee of the Italian Red Cross and the <strong>lifeguards of the loanese bathing union<\/strong> will bring to life rescue demonstrations using sea rescue operators and dogs.<\/p>\n<p>All participants will be given a gadget, and a special award will be presented to the youngest and the youngest and the oldest, the wearer of the most original costume and the largest group.<\/p>\n<p>After the plunge, tryers can warm up with hot tea and regain energy with a tasty snack provided by the organization.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PRESS RELEASE (12\/26\/2015) On Monday, Dec. 28, as has become tradition, the bravest daredevils will gather on the beach at Loano to participate in the end-of-the-year plunge.
