{"id":6351,"date":"2015-12-02T12:20:54","date_gmt":"2015-12-02T11:20:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=6351"},"modified":"2015-12-02T12:20:54","modified_gmt":"2015-12-02T11:20:54","slug":"loano-lights-up-christmas-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/6351\/news\/loano-accende-il-natale\/","title":{"rendered":"LOANO LIGHTS UP CHRISTMAS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (2\/12\/2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, December 4<\/strong>, <strong>Loano<\/strong> lights up Christmas with the<strong> A Thousand Lights of the Holidays<\/strong>, an initiative promoted by the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The festival will kick off at <strong>14.00<\/strong>, in<strong> Italy Square<\/strong>, and will involve the pupils of the\u2019<strong>Comprehensive Institute Loano-Boissano<\/strong> Who will perform the Christmas concert.<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>16.30<\/strong>, animating the afternoon will be <strong>The Association \u201cU Gunbu de L\u00f6a\u201d<\/strong> who will present a wide repertoire of traditional Christmas folk songs.<\/p>\n<p>It will be the lighting of the big Christmas tree in <strong>Italy Square<\/strong>, to the <strong>17<\/strong><strong>.30<\/strong>, to set the tone for the city's artistic illumination. Serving as godmothers will be the teachers of the <strong>St. Star Preschool<\/strong> With kindergarten children.<\/p>\n<p>A warm Christmas atmosphere will envelop Loano, beautifying the shopping streets. Lights will draw the contours of the most beautiful corners and Christmas decorations will dress the city festively. A shower of light will create a sparkling gallery in the historic center.<\/p>\n<p>Always the <strong>December 4<\/strong>, in the <strong>San Josemaria Esciv\u00e0 Gardens<\/strong>, will be inaugurated on <strong>Christmas Village <\/strong>with the marketplace <strong>Christmas magic<\/strong>, promoted by the\u2019<strong>Multipurpose Cultural Center Association of Loano<\/strong>. The setting up in the heart of the city, with the many<strong> small chalets<\/strong>, will recall the typical atmosphere of markets in northern European countries. The gardens will be adorned with a fairy-tale setting: light games and saplings will compose a <strong>winter garden. Santa Claus <\/strong>will be waiting for children in his little house to take a picture with them and an elf <strong>make-up artist <\/strong>Will play with the little ones.<\/p>\n<p>The market will offer visitors a wide selection of items related to the holiday season: candles, Christmas decorations, cribs and many gift ideas. There will be no shortage of delicacies and drinks typical of the cold season.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Christmas Village<\/strong> will, in addition, set the stage for some cultural and entertainment events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, December 5<\/strong>, from the <strong>4:30 pm<\/strong>, will be held on the <strong>Christmas Circus<\/strong>, circus arts workshop with the group <strong>\u201cUncertain Circus\u201d<\/strong>. Children will be able to try their hand at juggling exercises (balls, plates, hoops, diablo, handkerchiefs, bolas, etc.) and balancing (ball, roller, tightrope) and on the aerial trapeze.<\/p>\n<p>It will be <strong>Simone Peretti<\/strong> with his elf helpers to lead children to discover the magical world of the circus.<\/p>\n<p>The market will open, from <strong>3:30 pm <\/strong>at <strong>19.30<\/strong>, from the <strong>4 <\/strong>all<strong>\u2019December 8<\/strong>, all <strong>weekends<\/strong> and from the <strong>Dec. 23 to Jan. 6<\/strong>, daily, <strong>excluding December 25<\/strong>.
