{"id":5685,"date":"2015-08-07T12:51:15","date_gmt":"2015-08-07T10:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=5685"},"modified":"2015-08-07T12:51:15","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T10:51:15","slug":"concert-of-the-rich-poor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/5685\/news\/concerto-dei-ricchi-poveri\/","title":{"rendered":"CONCERT OF THE RICH AND POOR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (7\/08\/2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, August 8<\/strong>, a\u00a0<strong>Loano<\/strong>, to the <strong>9:30 pm<\/strong>, l\u2019<strong>Prince's Garden Summer Arena<\/strong> will host a group that is part of the history of Italian music: the <strong>Rich and Poor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The concert is part of the summer music season, promoted by the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong> and organizedby the<strong> I.So THeatre <\/strong>with the artistic direction of<strong> Luca Malvicini<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Over forty years of career behind them and more than 20 million records sold in Italy and abroad, Ricchi e Poveri is one of the most beloved groups on the Italian music scene and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Their most appreciated feature is the interweaving of voices, different from each other, to create a single harmony: the low voice of <strong>Franco Gatti<\/strong> mixes with the high notes achieved by <strong>Angelo Sotgiu<\/strong> and the vocal and interpretive power of <strong>Angela Brambati<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Rich and Poor will be featured in an exciting concert, dedicated to the songs that brought them to the top of the charts and into the hearts of a wide audience. To the audience they will give <strong>a musical journey through time, starting in the late 1960s and ending in the present day, through a repertoire that seems to be ageless, with songs such as <\/strong>\u201cIf I Fall in Love,\u201d \u201cWhat Will Be,\u201d \u201cIt Will Be Because I Love You,\u201d and \u201cDon't Think About It Anymore,\u201d not forgetting more recent songs including \u201cLostly Love\u201d published in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Ricchi e Poveri's career began in Genoa in 1968, at the height of the beat era. The lineup, which, in addition to the three current members, also featured Marina Occhiena (who would leave the group in 1981), debuted at Cantagiro with the song \u201cL'ultimo amore,\u201d an Italian-language cover of \u201cEverlasting love\u201d by the American Love Affaire.<\/p>\n<p>The band is noticed by Franco Califano who, after suggesting their name, becomes their producer for a few years.
