{"id":4792,"date":"2015-04-09T07:34:55","date_gmt":"2015-04-09T05:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=4792"},"modified":"2015-04-09T07:34:55","modified_gmt":"2015-04-09T05:34:55","slug":"flying-saucers-authors-voices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/4792\/news\/dischi-volanti-voci-dautore\/","title":{"rendered":"FLYING SAUCERS AND AUTHOR'S VOICES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (8\/4\/2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, April 11<\/strong>,a\u00a0<strong>Loano<\/strong>, a new appointment of the\u2019<strong>eighth<\/strong> edition of<strong>\u201cFLYING DISCS...CLOSE ENCOUNTERS WITH records, books, words and sounds.\u201d<\/strong>, promoted by the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano <\/strong>and organized by the\u2019<strong>Society of the Curious Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are getting into the swing of spring events,\" says Mayor <strong>Luigi Pignocca<\/strong> - with the review<strong> Flying discs <\/strong>which from April to May will offer a weekend program of meetings with musicians, songwriters and music journalists. Loano confirms in its rich program of events a prominent place for music, which accompanies throughout the year the entertainment offered to those who choose to spend the vacations in our city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe review <strong>\u201cFlying discs.\u201d<\/strong> - says Councillor <strong>Remo Zaccaria<\/strong> - this year is enriched with the appendix <strong>\u201cVoices of Author\u201d<\/strong> with the presence of two well-known artists of Italian songwriting, <strong>Eugenio Finardi<\/strong> e <strong>Nada<\/strong>, the latter accompanied by <strong>Fausto Mesolella<\/strong> guitarist and composer of the Avion Travel Small Orchestra. <strong>Finardi<\/strong> will meet the Loano audience in <strong>fortress square <\/strong>(<strong>May 3<\/strong>), and music will mingle with words and the story of more than 40 years of career. The meeting with <strong>Nada<\/strong> will take place in the Civic Library on May 16. Music journalist John Vignola will review with the Tuscan artist her career as a performer and author.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>The program of the review proposes<strong> Saturday, April 11<\/strong>, to the <strong>9 p.m.<\/strong>, in the <strong>Civic Library<\/strong>, meeting with <strong>Traindeville<\/strong>, duo - consisting of <strong>Ludovica Valori<\/strong> (voice, accordion, piano and trombone) and <strong>Paul Camerini<\/strong> (double bass and acoustic bass) - who has long traveled the worlds and colors of folk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ludovica Valori<\/strong>\u00a0 comes from the street bands Titubanda and Dragan Trio and from reworkings of Roman folk music with the groups Banda Jorona and Ardecore to the Irish rock of Her Pillow, while <strong>Paul Camerini<\/strong> founded first Cyclone (an avant-garde psychobilly group) and then the New Zulu Tribes, among the most important gypsy-folk-rock groups on the Italian scene.<\/p>\n<p>Traindeville's journey, just like a train, winds its way through folk sounds from various backgrounds to original songs composed in various languages (English, Italian, Spanish), thus creating a fascinating cross-cultural mosaic.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will be led by journalist <strong>Alfredo Sgarlato.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The review will continue on <strong>April 18<\/strong>, in the <strong>Civic Library, 9 pm,<\/strong> With the performer, author and actor <strong>Peppe Voltarelli<\/strong> who will be interviewed by music journalist <strong>John Vignola<\/strong>. Voltarelli was among the founders of \u201cIl parto delle Nuvole Pesanti\u201d and that punk tarantella that characterized the band's beginnings. In 2005 he starred in the film \u201cThe True Legend of Tony Vilar\u201d by Giuseppe Gagliardi and for which he composed the original soundtrack. In 2006 and 2007, the film participated in the Rome Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival, respectively. In January 2006, he began his solo career. His first album \u201cDistratto Ma Per\u00f2\u201d was released in 2007 and was among the finalists for the Tenco Prize. In April 2010, he released his second album \u201cUltima Notte \u00e0 Mala Strana\u201d distributed by Universal, which won the Tenco Award for Best Album in Dialect. It is the first album in Calabrese to receive such recognition. The album was also released in France on the prestigious Le Chant du Monde label (with distribution in Europe), in Argentina with Los Anos Luz and in Canada with Casa Nostra\/D.E.P (Universal). In 2011 Voltarelli composed the original soundtrack for the film \u201cTatanka\u201d by Giuseppe Gagliardi, inspired by a short story by Roberto Saviano.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>May 23, <\/strong>always in the library at<strong> 21.00, <\/strong>presentation of the box set (book, CD and DVD) will be held<strong> \u201cGenoa and Songwriting.\u201d<\/strong>,an encyclopedic work on Genoese singer-songwriters and more generally on songwriting in Liguria, published by GGallery editions of Genoa, commissioned by Carige, with the collaboration of Club Tenco. The work, which is out of print, was edited and coordinated by Enrico de Angelis, journalist, song historian and artistic director of Club Tenco.<\/p>\n<p>The multi-voiced book traces the various phases of song in Liguria: from the oldest tradition in dialect to the great innovators of the 1960s, from successive generations of singer-songwriters to a recent blossoming of new talent, much of it female. In dialogue with the author and the Ligurian singer-songwriters present at the meeting will be journalist <strong>Guido Festinese<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The review will be enhanced by two appointments of <strong>Author's Voices<\/strong>. The <strong>May 3<\/strong> at <strong>17.30<\/strong>, in <strong>Fortress Square<\/strong>, <strong>Eugenio Finardi<\/strong> will dialogue with <strong>John Vignola<\/strong>, and will accompany his reflections with excerpts from his repertoire, the Blues tradition and improvisations that arise from conversation with the audience. An entertainment space in which music is mixed with words and storytelling and which confirms Finardi as an artist who knows how to speak to people's souls but who also knows how to amaze and entertain with his affabulatories.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>May 16<\/strong>, to the <strong>21.00<\/strong> at <strong>Civic Library<\/strong>, always <strong>John Vignola<\/strong> will serve as the host in the meeting with <strong>Nada<\/strong>. The artist will be present together with <strong>Fausto Mesolella<\/strong> to recount her long career as a performer and author.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration between Nada and Fausto Mesolella dates back to 1994, and has won countless praise, followed by many concerts in Italy and Europe. The duo, together with Ferruccio Spinetti, created the album entitled \u201cNada Trio\u201d (1997), which won the Tenco Prize and the Musicultura di Recanati Prize.
