{"id":3938,"date":"2014-09-05T10:56:24","date_gmt":"2014-09-05T08:56:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=3938"},"modified":"2014-09-05T10:56:24","modified_gmt":"2014-09-05T08:56:24","slug":"celebrations-for-st-mary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/3938\/news\/festeggiamenti-per-ss-maria\/","title":{"rendered":"CELEBRATIONS FOR SS NAME OF MARY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (5\/09\/2014)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, September 6,<\/strong> will kick off <strong>Loano <\/strong>the celebrations, promoted by the <strong>Brotherhood of the White Disciples of St. John the Baptist <\/strong>under the auspices of the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, <\/strong>for the religious anniversary of the <strong>Most Holy Name of Mary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>9:40 p.m.<\/strong>, in <strong>fortress square<\/strong>, the concert of the<strong> Calizzano Philharmonic Orchestra<\/strong>, musical ensemble<strong> born in the distant past <\/strong>1859, now composed of around thirty musicians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gioved\u00ec 11 settembre<\/strong>, always in <strong>fortress square<\/strong>, to the <strong>21.40<\/strong> si svolger\u00e0 il concerto dell\u2019<strong>S.M. Immaculata Music Association of Loano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Venerd\u00ec 12 settembre<\/strong>, the <strong>Feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary <\/strong>will be celebrated by the\u2019<strong>Oratory of the Whites.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the religious festival, the statue of Our Lady adorned with flowers and lamps will be carried in procession by the Brotherhood of the Whites, along with the large processional Crucifixes, rich in decorative ornaments, after the masses celebrated since morning in the Oratory.<\/p>\n<p>At 8:30 p.m., Solemn Vespers will be held, presided over by <strong>Msgr. Giorgio Brancaleoni<\/strong>, Vicario Generale Diocesano. Seguir\u00e0 la <strong>Solemn Procession <\/strong>through the city streets. After traveling through the streets outside and inside the walls of Loano, the procession will stop in<strong> fortress square<\/strong>, where the blessing ceremony closing the procession will take place.<\/p>\n<p>Participating in the procession will be the\u2019<strong>St. Mary Immaculate Music Association<\/strong>, the <strong>G.
