{"id":3844,"date":"2014-08-22T15:15:35","date_gmt":"2014-08-22T13:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=3844"},"modified":"2014-08-22T15:15:35","modified_gmt":"2014-08-22T13:15:35","slug":"the-turchini-concerts-soul-music","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/3844\/news\/i-concerti-dei-turchini-musiche-dellanima\/","title":{"rendered":"THE TURQUOISE CONCERTS - THE MUSIC OF THE SOUL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (8\/22\/2014)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, August 25<\/strong>,a <strong>Loano<\/strong>, a new concert of the review is scheduled. <strong>\u201cThe Concerts of the Turchins - The Musics of the Soul.\u201d, <\/strong>organized by the <strong>Brotherhood<\/strong><strong> of the Turks' Chapels<\/strong> under the auspices of the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At <strong>9 p.m.<\/strong>, host of the\u2019<strong>Oratory of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary<\/strong>, will be the duo composed of <strong>Mauro Piazzi <\/strong>(trombone) and <strong>Stephen Rattini <\/strong>(organ) who will perform pieces by Girolamo Frescobaldi (1583-1643), Jean Baptiste Loeillet (1688-1720), Georg Andreas Sorge (1703-1778), Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), Henry Purcell (1659-1695), Gustav Gunsenheimer (1934) and Stefano Rattini himself. The traditional Irish song \u201cAmazing Grace\u201d and the spiritual \u201cEv'ry time I feel the Spirit\u201d will complete the program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mauro Piazzi <\/strong>studied trombone at the Conservatory of Trento where he graduated in 1978. He then participated in various master classes, particularly delving into contemporary music with G.Schiaffini and C.Fuller.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1984 he has been active in chamber music both as a soloist and as the promoter of several instrumental ensembles exploring, among other things, the entire literature written for brass soloists from trio to decimino and the repertoire for brass and organ with ensembles ranging from duo to octet with percussion. With such ensembles he has performed more than four hundred concerts in numerous locations in Italy and abroad. He has also recorded various programs for RAI and private broadcasters. Notable among the numerous recordings is one made with the Ensemble \u201cEn Chamade,\u201d which he founded, featuring 20th-century music for brass, organ and percussion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stephen Rattini<\/strong>, titular organist of the Cathedral of Trent, has placed the popularization of music and improvisation at the center of his interests. A student of Giancarlo Parodi, he teaches organ improvisation at the Institute of Sacred Music in Trent.<\/p>\n<p>He holds the Chair of Music at the \u2019Aldeno-Mattarello\u201c Institute in Trento. He has given a considerable number of concerts in Italy and abroad, playing for important International Festivals and Reviews. He has recorded for the record companies \u201dLa Bottega Discantica,\u201c \u201dRainbow Classics,\u201c \u201dPro Civitate Cristiana,\u201c \u201dGinger Studio,\u201c \u201dEdizioni Carrara,\u201c \u201dIl Diapason,\u201c Tactus,\u201d and \u201dBongiovanni.\u201c Some of his compositions are published by Rugginenti, Carrara and EurArte.
