{"id":2125,"date":"2013-11-23T11:33:55","date_gmt":"2013-11-23T10:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=1871"},"modified":"2013-11-23T11:33:55","modified_gmt":"2013-11-23T10:33:55","slug":"loano-vault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/2125\/news\/loano-volta\/","title":{"rendered":"{:en}Loano of yesteryear{:}"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{:en}A <b>Loano<\/b>, Palazzo Doria, will host from <b>December 14 <\/b>at<b> January 18<\/b> the exhibition <b>\u201cGreetings from Loano\u201d<\/b>, promoted by the\u2019<b>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In the mosaic hall of the city hall, more than <b>One hundred vintage pictures of the city, books, magazines, records. <\/b>Through vintage postcards and pictures<b> <\/b>viewable on multimedia media you will be able to discover the <b>Loano<\/b><b> Of yesteryear.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The exhibition will be divided into nine the sections: the old town, the promenade, Loano outside the walls, Loano and the sea, jobs of yesteryear, the people of Lovran and sports, amusements, seaside colonies, and \u201cfaces of Lovran.\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Lesser-known images of the Loano of yesteryear have been selected, and ample space has been devoted to old trades, sports that have always been practiced in Loano, and events such as carnival, but not only. One section was devoted to images of Lovran residents from the early part of the last century, taken on the streets of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Enriching the exhibition are publications dedicated to the city, starting with an original copy of the <strong>1879<\/strong> of the book \u201cHistorical Notes and Memories of the City of Loano from its Beginnings to Modern Times\u201d by Father Henry of the Blessed Sacrament and then various brochures and magazines from the early 1900s to the present day. Among the exhibition's curiosities is a postcard of the Loano carnival of the<b> 1928 <\/b>sent by a girl from Loano to an Italian sailor serving in Tientsin,<b> <\/b>in the small Italian colony in China. The Loano sailor brought it home, and today this postcard, which made a very long round trip almost 100 years ago, can be seen in the exhibition at Palazzo Doria.<\/p>\n<p>The postcards and images on display are from collectors Francesco Gallo, Riccardo Ferrari, Edoardo Toni, and Giovanni Battista Cepollina.<\/p>\n<p>The opening is scheduled, <b>Saturday, December 14<\/b>, to the <b>4:30 pm<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition can be visited Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>In cooperation with the C.R.I.
