Friday, December 4, a Loano, in the Mosaic room in Doria Palace, will be opened the exhibition “On the Trail of Carmo”, organized by the’Friends of the Carmo Association under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30 pm. The photographic route, which can be admired until the Jan. 10 p.m., will retrace the 50 years of history and memories of the mountain spanning Loano, through a collection of historical images, newspaper articles and memorabilia.
Thus continue the initiatives, promoted by the’Friends of the Carmo Association, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the placement of the cross on the summit. The current stainless steel cross was placed on the summit in 1965 to replace the previous metal trellis cross, which was destroyed in a storm.
The exhibition will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Closed on December 25 and January 1.
Admission is free.
