{"id":9509,"date":"2017-05-12T11:40:55","date_gmt":"2017-05-12T09:40:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=9509"},"modified":"2017-05-12T11:40:55","modified_gmt":"2017-05-12T09:40:55","slug":"ligurian-cake-party-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/9509\/news\/festa-della-torta-ligure-3\/","title":{"rendered":"{:en}FEST OF THE LIGURAL CAKE{:}"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{:en}<strong>PRESS RELEASE (12\/05\/2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14<\/strong>, a <strong>Loano<\/strong> will take place the 13th edition of the <strong>Ligurian Cake Festival<\/strong>, an appointment dedicated to the discovery of typical local products and cuisine.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative, organized by the\u2019<strong>Old Loano Association <\/strong>under the auspices of the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano<\/strong>, proposes for two days on the <strong>waterfront<\/strong>, near the <strong>Sea workers' cottage<\/strong> Some specialties of local cuisine.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the day will be \u201cLigurian pie,\u201d featured in five recipes that enhance local products. The most famous is the \u201cPasqualina\u201d pie (la verzina), in which olive oil, chard, eggs and cheese are admirably blended. But you can also enjoy zucchini (from Albenga), artichoke (from Albenga), pumpkin and herb cakes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it will be possible to savor the <strong>Sardenaira<\/strong>, a typical San Remo focaccia spread throughout Liguria.
