Saturday, May 13<\/strong> a Loano<\/strong> will take place the last event of the tenth edition of \u201cFlying Disks...Close Encounters with Records, Books, Words and Sounds.\u201d<\/strong>, promoted by the\u2019Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano <\/strong>and organized by the\u2019Society of the Curious Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the hours 21.00<\/strong>, in the Civic Library <\/strong>in Kursaal Palace<\/strong>, singer-songwriter Diodato, interviewed by music journalist John Vignola <\/strong>(Rai Radio 1 Music Club) will present his latest album \u201cWhat have we become<\/strong>\u201d (2017, Carousel Records).<\/p>\n

Three years after \u201cE Forse Sono Pazzo,\u201d Diodato returns with a new album of unreleased songs, twelve songs in which the artist lays bare his soul, reaching deep into it, and combines his passions for songwriting, rock and pop.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn here is the story I wanted to tell, a story probably similar to many others, but ultimately unique, as they all are. There is an experience made up of fragility, guilt, happiness, bright encounters and painful detachments, shadow and light, fall and rebirth\u201d - thus Diodate<\/strong> explains his album-\u201cThere is an awareness that everything surrenders to the unstoppable becoming of things.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Artist of the new Italian singer-songwriter scene Diodato made himself known to the general public in the 2014 edition of the Sanremo Festival, participating in the Newcomers category with the song \u201cBabilonia.\u201d.<\/p>\n

He won Mtv's \u201cBest New Generation\u201d award and participated in twelve consecutive episodes of \u201cChe tempo che fa,\u201d Fabio Fazio's program, an experience that inspired the 2014 album \u201cA ritrovar Bellezza,\u201d the artist's personal tribute to the greats of Italian music.<\/p>\n

Diodato is the author of the single by Andrea Biagioni, an X Factor contestant on Manuel Agnelli's team. Afterhours and Diodato have crossed guitars and voices before, and in addition to Agnelli, Daniele Silvestri and Roy Paci have also collaborated and duetted with him.<\/p>\n

DIODATE<\/strong> made his discographic debut in April 2013 with \u201cAnd Maybe I'm Crazy\u201d (Le Narcisse Records\/Goodfellas). The record immediately arouses interest and is reviewed excellently in several national newspapers (La Repubblica XL, Il Mucchio, Il Messaggero). The first extracted singles are broadcast by numerous radio stations and with the revisitation of Fabrizio De Andr\u00e8's \u201cAmore che vieni, amore che vai,\u201d contained in the album, Diodato participates in the soundtrack of Daniele Luchetti's film \u201cAnni felici\u201d starring Kim Rossi Stuart and Micaela Ramazzotti premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

In February 2014, DIODATO participated in the 64th SANREMO Italian Song Festival in the \u201cNew Proposals\u201d category with the song \u201cBabilonia.\u201d His splendid performances at the Ariston Theater brought him second place in the overall ranking of the section, and first place in the ranking of the jury of quality, chaired by director PAOLO VIRZ\u00cc who said, \u201cIn the midst of them (the contestants) there is a genius, Diodato, who unfortunately was not rewarded either by the critics or the popular vote. I would have given him everything, I would have put Laetitia Casta in his arms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even MINA, in Vanity Fair, mentioned the song, considering it one of the best of the entire festival.<\/p>\n

In March 2014 Diodato was chosen by the Rai 3 television program \u201cChe Tempo che Fa\u201c , as a regular guest. Every Sunday in connection for twelve episodes, with his \u201csongs in a minute\u201d, he pays tribute to the great authors of Italian music (such as Sergio Endrigo, Domenico Modugno, Mina, Luigi Tenco and Bruno Lauzi) proposing some of the most beautiful songs ever.<\/p>\n

On May Day he participates in his Taranto in the big Labor Day concert in the company of illustrious names such as Vinicio Capossela, Afterhours, Caparezza, 99 Posse and many others. From 2016 he will become artistic director of the event along with Michele Riondino and Roy Paci.<\/p>\n

On May 25, 2014 Diodato is hosted in the studio for the last episode of the season of the successful Rai 3 program hosted by Fabio Fazio where he performs a very emotional acoustic version of \u201cBabilonia.\u201d.<\/p>\n

In June 2014, he won the \u201cBest New Generation\u201d award and performed on stage at the MTV Awards live on MTV from the Parco delle Cascine in Florence in front of 30,000 people. The single \u201d If only I had another \u201d is broadcast in very high rotation on Mtv and passed on more than 100 radio stations nationwide.<\/p>\n

Summer 2014 is a succession of concerts touching on major music festivals such as Cateraduno2014, Rome Meets the World, Pistoia Blues (opening for Negramaro), Meraviglioso Modugno and the Sziget Festival in Budapest.<\/p>\n

In September 2014 Diodato won the \u201cFabrizio De Andr\u00e9 Award,\u201d for his convincing and personal version of \u201cAmore che vieni amore che vai.\u201d.<\/p>\n

In October he participated as a guest at the 2014 Tenco Prize and the festival organized by Aftherhours in L'Aquila, \u201cHai Paura del Buio.\u201d.<\/p>\n

On October 27, 2014, he released \u201cA Ritrovar Bellezza,\u201d an album that contains all the songs interpreted during his collaboration with Che Tempo Che Fa. Also participating in the album are Manuel Agnelli with whom he duets in \u201cLa voce del silenzio\u201d and Roy Paci and the Velvet Brass with whom he revises Bindi's beautiful \u201cArrivederci.\u201d.<\/p>\n

She participated in Daniele Silvestri's \u201cAcrobati\u201d album with two features, the single \u201c Pochi giorni\u201d and \u201c Alla fine\u201d and in the summer of 2016 she was a guest on his very successful \u201cAcrobati in tour.\u201d.<\/p>\n
