{"id":4827,"date":"2015-04-16T10:53:46","date_gmt":"2015-04-16T08:53:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/?p=4827"},"modified":"2015-04-16T10:53:46","modified_gmt":"2015-04-16T08:53:46","slug":"flying-discs-meeting-peppe-voltarelli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.visitloano.it\/en\/4827\/news\/dischi-volanti-incontro-peppe-voltarelli\/","title":{"rendered":"FLYING DISCS - MEETING WITH PEPPE VOLTARELLI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PRESS RELEASE (4\/15\/2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday<\/strong> <strong>April 18<\/strong>, will continue at Loano the review <strong>\u201cFLYING DISCS...CLOSE ENCOUNTERS WITH records, books, words and sounds.\u201d<\/strong>, promoted by the\u2019<strong>Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano <\/strong>and organized by the\u2019<strong>Society of the Curious Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At<strong> 21.00, <\/strong>\u00a0at <strong>Civic Library, <\/strong>the performer, author and actor <strong>Peppe Voltarelli<\/strong> Will be interviewed by music journalist <strong>John Vignola<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Between music and words, the artist's 20-year career will be traced.<\/p>\n<p>Voltarelli was among the founders of \u201cIl parto delle Nuvole Pesanti\u201d and that punk tarantella that characterized the band's beginnings. In 2005 he starred in the film \u201cThe True Legend of Tony Vilar\u201d by Giuseppe Gagliardi and for which he composed the original soundtrack. In 2006 and 2007, the film participated in the Rome Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival, respectively. In January 2006, he began his solo career. His first album \u201cDistratto Ma Per\u00f2\u201d was released in 2007 and was among the finalists for the Tenco Prize. In April 2010, he released his second album \u201cUltima Notte \u00e0 Mala Strana\u201d distributed by Universal, which won the Tenco Award for Best Album in Dialect. It is the first album in Calabrese to receive such recognition. The album was also released in France on the prestigious Le Chant du Monde label (with distribution in Europe), in Argentina with Los Anos Luz and in Canada with Casa Nostra\/D.E.P (Universal).
