Before he died, he himself chose his successors so that they would spread his music to the world. The group of nine musicians, including one of his sons Salvador, will play at Loano in the beautiful setting of the Prince's Garden.<\/p>\n<p>The soul of Maximo Francisco Repilado Mu\u00f1oz (Compay Segundo) is always present in the <strong>Grupo Compay Segundo<\/strong>, a formation in which some of the musicians who participated in Wim Wenders\u201c film \u201dBuena Vista Social Club\" play.<\/p>\n<p>Compay Segundo is after Miguel Matamoros the other great figure who placed in words and music a universe of images of the conversation and singing characteristic of Cuban peasants, thus saving this heritage of sonorous, humorous and imaginative richness.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his contribution to Cuban cultural heritage, important is his promotion of an instrument, the harmonica, and the introduction of clarinets into the fixed ensemble of the instrumental ensemble.
