Giovedì 25 agosto, a Loano, l’Prince's Garden Summer Arena ospiterà l’iniziativa “Loano and the voice of the sea”, organized by the’Marine Cultural Association ”Lodanum” under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
La serata, che prenderà il via alle alle ore 21.00, è dedicata alla tradizione marinara loanese e ha l’obiettivo di raccogliere fondi a favore del Sea Museum.
Il tema del mare sarà il filo conduttore dei momenti di spettacolo e dei momenti di riflessione, resi possibili dalla partecipazione di tante associazioni culturali e sportive che hanno aderito all’iniziativa.
La serata si aprirà con la cerimonia dell’alza bandiera e con la presenza della Coast Guard of Loano.
Poi si entrerà nel vivo dello spettacolo con l’esibizione di Teo Chirico che eseguirà ”La voce del mare” (brano composto dallo stesso Chirico con il Maestro Giovanni Amelotti, testo di Don Gabriele Corini), accompagnato dalla coreografia di Lorella Brondo danzata dalle allieve della Scuola Attimo Danza di Loano.
Il programma musicale proseguirà con il medley di sole mare e amore interpretato da Alessia Nocito, Chiara Bonfante, Rachele Gazzano, Margherita Volpez, Viola Maldarizzi.
Sarà poi la volta di Corinna Parodi che canterà “Mediterraneo” insieme alle coriste Eleonora Cocchi, Sara Cianci, Jacopo Bonfante.
Bonfante tornerà come voce solista per interpretare ”Gente di mare” a cui farà eco subito dopo ”Beaches” eseguita da Giuliano Piccardo.
Lara Mattiauda will present ”Una rotonda sul mare” e Sara Cianci il brano ”In alto mare”. Infine, Alice Ghione will sing ”Stessa spiaggia stesso mare” e Eleonora Cocchi ”Il mare d’inverno”.
Lo spettacolo proseguirà con momenti di danza che vedranno protagonisti il gruppo hip hop Electry Glide and the students of the Scuola Attimo Danza di Lorella Brondo.
La serata sarà arricchita da interviste e momenti di riflessione sul tema del mare che vedranno coinvolti il T.V. (CP) Alessandro Guerri (Comandante dell’Ufficio circondariale marittimo di Loano–Albenga), Piero Cerruti (Presidente dell’Associazione Culturale Marinara ”Lodanum”), Riccardo Ferrari e Giuseppe Guglielmi (Associazione pescatori amatoriali ”La Bussola”). In rappresentanza dell’Amministrazione ci saranno il Sindaco Luigi Pignocca, l’Assessore al Turismo, Cultura e Sport Remo Zaccaria e il Vice Sindaco Luca Lettieri.
He will close the event Camilla Calandri studentessa che frequenta il liceo linguistico di Albenga che leggerà un testo dedicato al mare e una poesia in dialetto ligure.

Sea Museum
L’Lodanum Association has built for many years now, a small museum-type structure in which it preserves and exhibits objects and documentation on the seafaring industry in Loano and the western Savona area. The association has collected numerous historical and cultural materials such as books, documents, photographs, and models that testify to the area's seafaring past. This heritage is on display in the central hall of the Kursaal Palace.
This is a historical-documentary retrospective of Loano seafaring and tourism through pictures, drawings, documents, and objects.
The exhibition brings together original period photographs, scale reproduced model ships, and marine paraphernalia and equipment.
The photographs represent a cultural-historical track from the second half of the 1800s to the first half of the 1900s.
The exhibition offers images from the early twentieth century depicting fishing activity, shipbuilding activity, and the beginnings of bathing. The photography then helps to reconstruct the transformations of the economy, landscape, environment and society throughout the twentieth century up to the 1950s.
A wealth of documentation testifies to the mercantile development, the boost in maritime trade and shipbuilding in the 1800s.
The exhibition also features images of Loano divers who participated in internationally renowned missions such as the salvage of the Scirè off Haifa.
In giftware, numerous artifacts made by Lovran sailors while embarking on merchant ships and shipyard equipment, sailmaker's outfits, and a rich collection of telecommunications materials should be noted.
