{:en}PRESS RELEASE (3/30/2017)
Friday, March 31, a Loano, in the council chamber in the Doria Palace, will be held the safety course aimed at users in “work exchange” of the Loano social territorial sphere. The training will also be extended to asylum seekers hosted by the CEIS Foundation In the convent of St. Augustine.
“The asylum seekers," explains the mayor Luigi Pignocca - will soon be employed in so-called “socially useful work” at zero cost to the municipal coffers. The only burden we will have will be for the purchase of safety aids required by law. The collaboration with the CEIS foundation on the employment of refugees has already produced the first result: the park adjacent to the convent is manned and kept in order by some of the boys housed in the convent.”.
The course is a fundamental and necessary prerogative for then being able to activate a path of socially useful activity in the Loano area.
“After the safety-related training," the vice mayor continued. Luca Lettieri - with the CEIS managers will be activated and coordinated the activities that will see the boys hosted at Loano engaged. They will be engaged in supportive activities in favor of the city, such as help in maintaining green areas, cleaning and maintaining the decorum of cemetery areas and other activities compatible with the figure of “socially useful work” for free.”.
On the other hand, people on work grants residing in the Loano social territorial area (Loano, Borghetto Santo Spirito, Boissano, Toirano, Balestrino) are granted an economic contribution up to a maximum of € 350.00, with an annual expenditure of about € 113,000.00.
The grant is funded by the ATS municipalities and the Liguria Region.
