Sunday, March 5 a Loano, the Palio of the Commons will close the 26th edition of CarnevaLöa, organized by the’Old Loano Association with contributions from the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
La competizione carnevalesca si svolgerà nel corso della seconda sfilata dei carri allegorici.Le grandi opere, nate dalla fantasia dei maestri della cartapesta, partiranno alle 15.00 from Cadorna Square and will reach Piazzale Mazzini where they will turn around to return to the starting point.
Opening the festive parade on Rome course will be the cheerful notes of the Rumpe and Streppa Band of Finale Ligure accompanied by the choreography of the majorettes.
Seguirà il carro The Clock Tower (Old Loano Association) in which the three ushers of Loano will be present: Pue Pepin King of Carnival, U Beciancin maschera goliardica del CarnevaLöa e Captain Fracassa maschera ligure della commedia dell’arte. Insieme a loro sfilerà una nuova figura del carnevale loanese: la Princess Doria of the Castle. Albenga carnival masks will also be present: Artichoke King, Princess Pumpkin Trumpet, Baronetto Violet Asparagus and Sir Cuore di Bue.
La sfilata sarà poi animata dal carro musicale “Everyone sings Sanremo” con gli interpreti Ray, Sante and Tony, from the wagon Masha e l’Orso che vedrà la presenza dei bambini della scuola Istituto Rossello di Loano e da The Pied Piper (Justenice).
For the Palio of the Commons floats will parade: A Lanterna de Zena (Varazze Animation Group), Tommy the Giants star (Finale Ligure), Dukes of Hazzard the Return (Borghetto S.S.), Snow White's witch (Bardino Vecchio) and, out of competition, L’Osteria dei Burdelluzi (I mazzocchi – I matetti burdelluzi), vincitore del palio dei Borghi 2017.
The parade will then feature the floats that competed last Sunday: Finding Dory (The Priglians), Tex Willer (Maina de Löa), Oceania (The Meceti), Avatar (Borgo di Dentro), The fire-eater (Piazza Rocca). Quest’ultimo vedrà la presenza della più divertente band dialettale ligure i Pesto Darkness.q
La giuria sarà composta da esperti rappresentanti dei carnevali liguri. Nel corso delle premiazioni sarà decretato anche il 2017 photo contest winner or winner. Trionferà la fotografia pubblicata sulla pagina facebook (@carnevaloa) che riceverà più like.
Speaker ufficiale sarà Gianni Rossi (turista protagonista) che annuncerà il passaggio dei carri dal palco davanti al bar Vittorino. Sullo stesso palco si svolgeranno le premiazioni al termine del secondo giro.
