Sunday, October 2 the E. Garassini Sports Hall will host the first Round B concentration of the A2 Women's Table Tennis Series, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano as part of the sports review September Sports at Loano.

The event organized by the’ASD Toirano, newly promoted to the national women's second category of team championships, will feature some of the best players in Italy.

Six are the formations who will play the concentrations competing in nine matches. The start of the event is at 10 a.m..

The Toirano hosts will take on the Genoese of the’Athletic Club; the Savona will be up against the Turin Table Tennis; the Emilian women of the Cortemaggiore will play against the Regaldi Novara.

At 12:30 p.m. will be played in the second round. Toirano's opponent will be the Regaldi Novara; the Turin Table Tennis will play against the’Athletic Club; the Savona Will challenge Cortemaggiore.

The day will close with meetings scheduled at 2:30 pm: Athletic Club versus Savona, Toirano versus Cortemaggiore, Turin Table Tennis versus Regaldi Novara.

“The Toirano - explain the organizers - aspires to a starring role. In fact, it will be able to field Loanese Valentina Roncallo who, despite being only 13 years old, is among the most promising Italian players in this discipline. Valentina, the Allieve national champion, is No. 5 in the Ligurian rankings and 54th in the Italian rankings. Alongside her are two table tennis players who are still young but already very experienced: Valeria Zefiro, class of 1990, number 1 in Liguria and 23rd in Italy; Simona Rossini, class of 1992, fourth in the region and 48th in the national ranking.

Also worth keeping an eye on is Tennistavolo Savona, which alongside the talented 14-year-old Stella Frisone, 90th in Italy, can field Elisa Marzolla, class of 1983, No. 46 in the national rankings, and Israeli Dana Saporta, class of 1985, a veteran of the A1 Series championship.”.
