Thursday, August 4, a Loano, the calendar of events, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano presents a new event in the series “Concerts from the Balcony”.
At 20.30, in Palestro Square, the concert by the band will take place Moonlight jazz quartet, composed of Aura Nebiolo (voice), Loris Tarantino (floor), Enrico Ciampino (double bass) and Leo Saracino (drums-percussion).
Piano, bass, and drums form the classic jazz band that accompanies singers performing the standard repertoire of 20th-century African-American jazz.
The repertoire for the “jazz in the moonlight” evening will include standards by the great composers of the 20th century, such as Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Gershwin Coltrane, Ellington, Bruno Martino, and Buscaglione. The musical program will be enriched by several Brazilian bossa nova.
Aura Nebiolo, Loris Tarantino and Enrico Ciampino They come from the Langhe region, between Asti and Alessandria, and their studies are based on the tradition of African-American music. The percussionist Leo Saracino He has been living in Liguria for several years and his studies and concerts also draw on traditional Mediterranean music and African-American free jazz.
