Thursday, July 9, at Loano, at 5:30 pm, in the municipal outdoor swimming pool will be inaugurated the new lifter that will allow bathing in the small pool for young people with mobility disabilities.
“Sea and pool for all” is the slogan that will accompany the initiative, promoted by the’Dopodomani Onlus Association With the sponsorship and cooperation of the’Department of Social Services of the Municipality of Loano.
“The goal of the initiative," explains Councillor. Luca Lettieri - is to emphasize How the city of Loano is increasingly equipping itself to be able to offer better services to the people with disabilities. The special sensitivity to accessible tourism led last year to the delivery to the Municipality of Loano of the recognition of the Lilac Flag. The inauguration of the lift for the small pool is meant to be an opportunity for reflection on inclusion, which remains a priority for the Loano municipal administration.”
The new pool service joins the activityof Free assisted bathing aimed at people with mobility problems, promoted by the S.I.B. of Loano (Italian Balneare Union) and by the’A.T.I. Equipped Free Beaches, which as of this summer involves thirteen beaches,fully accessible facilities with slides or elevators, which have been equipped with pull-ups and/or job chair.
