Continued at Loano the lecture series on historical topics “History Conversations in Art.” promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The initiative, which so far has been well received and well attended by the public, aims to enhance the rich cultural heritage in the Loano area.
Sunday, April 12, to the 3:30 pm,in the Civic Library at Kursaal Palace the review, curated for the scientific part by the’International Institute of Ligurian Studies and carried out in collaboration with the’Unitre of Loano, will host a new meeting entitled. “The Golden Age of Dorias at Loano”.
Delving into the historical period when the presence of the important Genoese dynasty changed the face of Loano will be the Dr. Gianmaria Mandara.
The history expert, a member of the International Institute of Ligurian Studies, will recount the life and activities of Gian Andrea Doria, who, in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, changed the face of Loano, in a period marked by profound changes that resulted in a new sensibility, including artistic.
The Doria family, which included feudal lords, warriors, bankers, businessmen, merchants, prelates, and clergymen, dominated the city's scene for more than five centuries, making Loano unique in the panorama of the Western Riviera.
