Monday, August 4, a Loano, will continue the dance review in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano eorganized by the I.So THeatre with the artistic direction of Luca Malvicini.

At 9:30 pm, the Argentine Tango Company headed by Neri Piliu and Yanina Quinones will present “Mi Buenos Aires”, a show with an overwhelming rhythm that combines tales and atmospheres from the history and life of tango with a new understanding of Argentine folk art somewhere between dance and dance theater.

True narrative paintings will paint a fresco of tango that looks back to its origins steeped in the dust of the streets of Buenos Aires to the sequins of the stage.

Protagonists and choreographers of the show are. Neri Piliu and Yanina Quinones, two young Argentine artists who boast many experiences in the international tango scene.

Embellishing the highly personal choreography will be the established Tango Spleen Orquesta with live performance of some pieces from their own repertoire and the great Tango classics.

 

In partnership since 2006, Neri Piliu and Yanina Quinones train at the Academy of Argentine Tango Style (ACETA) in Buenos Aires under the guidance of famous dancers and teachers such as Pupi Castello, Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau, Gerardo Portalea, Toto Faraldo, Milena Plebs. They are regular guests at seminars, festivals and important events and as teachers are present in some prestigious schools in Buenos Aires, Japan, Italy, France, England, Russia.

 

Tango Spleen Orquesta is a well-established and internationally recognized musical formation, born from the initiative of its director Mariano Speranza, Argentine singer and pianist. The orchestra combines the tradition of Argentine popular music with continuous stylistic research, positioning itself as one of the landmarks of contemporary avant-garde Tango. Since its debut in 2009, the Tango Spleen orchestra has been a great success with audiences and critics both in Italy and abroad, combining its intense activity on the international Tango scene with important collaborations with internationally renowned artists from rock to opera music. He is the revelation of the 2011 edition of the XVIII Festival Nacional de Tango de La Falda in Argentina, eliciting a standing ovation from the audience in the most historic stage of tango music. In 2013, at the invitation of the Argentine Embassy in Italy and the Municipality of Rome Capital, he is the protagonist in the great show “In tango step” in honor of Pope Francis held in Rome's Piazza del Popolo as a tribute to the pontiff's inauguration, with live television and radio broadcast on national and foreign stations.
