Awarded last night in Loano the most beautiful sand castles of XXVIII edition by Architects in the Grass, competition organized by the’Department of Sports, Tourism and Culture in collaboration with the’State Property Department eil SIB (Italian Balneari Syndicate) of Loano.
The initiative, which involved 518 children, is confirmed as a major event of the Loano summer. In the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, as of 9 p.m, awards evening was held accompanied by the entertainment of the I.so Theatre.
“Architects in the Grass is an initiative that is renewed every year with great enthusiasm, thanks to the participation of children. - Says Councillor Remo Zaccaria - This year's adhesions to the initiative, which far exceeded those of last year's edition, confirm the high level of enjoyment enjoyed by this event aimed at tourists and younger residents. The absolute protagonist was the creativity that was able to transform sand and water into original works of art.”
Under the good auspices of the blue flag, which flies again this year on the flagpoles of the Loogan beaches, were made 59 works. In all, the following have joined 20 bathing establishments.
The works were judged by the committee chaired by Vice Mayor Remo Zaccaria, by the Secretary General of the City of Loano, Luigi Guerrera, And by the head of the sports office Rita Calcagno.
The first prize went to the Souvenir Bathrooms for the work The Crocodile made by Giulia Pira, Fabio Pira, Giacomo Aimar, Filippo Aimar, Emanuele Pira.
At second place ranked the castle “Crosswords” realized in the Saitta Bathrooms by Roberto Peirano, Irene Ganasi, Sara Drovetto, Martina Bardone, Paolo Forsellini.
The third place it was the opera's turn “The Sphinx” built in the Varesina Beach by the very young architects Luciano Delazzari, Alice Giornetta, Sofia Marchino, Francesca Cicciu, Arianna Cicciu.
