Synopsis

Alberto Solei is a professor. Teaching is his life, pupils are his family, and after a long illness and an unexpected recovery, he has learned to love every single moment. Perhaps this is why he is a little less blind than he used to be, and the children confide in him. All except one, Andrea. Andrea is a kind, reserved boy, and hides a secret.
He is 16 years old and has found a way out of the lonely life that has befallen him. He discovered it as a child when he would leave the house so as not to hear the screams and hide on the last step of the building's staircase. From there, a closed door on the bare hallway, came notes that seemed to speak right to him. When he plucked up the courage to enter that house, an unexpected and wonderful world opened wide before his young eyes. At first he thought of music as the escape of a few hours from the blackness of the present, then he realized that he could build a new life for himself from that very passion.
Albert and Andrew have completely opposite ages and ways of conceiving the world, but in a way they will save each other.

Marco Braico was born in Turin in 1968 and lives in Volvera. He teaches mathematics and physics in a scientific high school. He is a volleyball referee in the major league. His first novel, Lemon festival, first published in 2011 by Effatà, has won thousands of readers and won several literary awards.{:}
