Thursday, December 28, as is now tradition, on the beach of Loano will gather numerous tryouts, veterans and beginners, to participate in the end-of-year plunge.
The 31° Winter Swimming Tournament, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano In collaboration with ATI S.L.A. (Equipped Free Beaches) the Italian Bathing Union of Loano, the Italian Swimming Federation Lifeguarding, the Coast Guard of Loano, will take place in the stretch of water in front of the Medusa Baths.
Professional swimmers will be arriving from all over Liguria and northern Italy, who will test themselves by facing the winter sea for a dip of a few seconds or, for the more trained, a ten-minute dip.
Registration will be kicked off at 10 a.m. The plunge is announced at 11:00 am.
The seaside party will be enlivened by the DJ-set, which, with a rich lineup of music, will set the pace for the dyemen engaged in the warm-up activity conducted by the instructors of A.S.D. Krav Maga Parabellum.
Rescue services will be provided by the Operators of the Italian Rescue Dog School who, while waiting for the plunge, will give rescue demonstrations using operators and sea rescue dogs.
All participants will be given a gadget and a special award will be presented to the younger and to the younger, to the less young and to the less young, a Who wears the most original costume and to the largest group.
After the plunge, tryouts can warm up with hot tea and regain energy with a tasty snack provided by the organization.{:}
