Saturday December 23, a Loano, the review “Heavenly Musings”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano will move into the Church of St. Augustine.
Protagonist of the musical evening will be the quintet composed of the voices Melissa Briozzo (soprano), Giulia Milani (Mezzo-soprano) and Emanuel Bono (Tenor) and musicians Olesya Rusina (Violin) and Andrea Verrando (Organ).
“Cantique De Noel“ is the title of the concert, which at 9 p.m. will open with a performance of the eponymous piece by A. Adam.
The evening will continue with the interpretation of the songs: Agnus Dei by G. Bizet, A Thousand Cherubs in Chorus by F. Schubert, Hail Mary by C. Gounod, Adagio by T. Albinoni, Hail Mary by J. Rutter, Stabat Mater - Cujus Animam by G. Rossini, Hail Mary Zeneise by A. Dodero, Sweet Feel by R. Ortolani, Hail Mary by P. Rombi, Deck the Halls By Anonymous, Joy to the World by G.F. Händel, White Christmas by I. Berlin, Jingle Bells by J. Pierpont.
The concert will close with the song Adeste Fideles.
Tuesday, December 26 the review Celestial Music will be hosted by the Convent of Mount Carmel where at the 4 p.m. Nicoletta Ghilino e Davide Baglietto will perform a concert of voice, piano and bagpipes dedicated to Christmas.
The duo will perform famous holiday songs such as: Adeste Fideles, Tu scendi dalle stelle, Gli angeli delle campagne, In notte placida, La notte di Natale, Piva lombarda (instrumental), Let it snow, Astro del ciel, Holy night, Panis Angelicus, Ave Maria (Gounod)
Davide Baglietto, multi-instrumentalist, studied piano, North African percussion and bagpipes. He recorded three CDs with the band “Monjoie,” participating in Arezzo Wave; a soundtrack for Genoa 2004, capital of European culture, “Ligurians in the Mediterranean.” In 2007 together with the Piccola Bottega dei Suoni he produced a show of music and dances from the Mediterranean area. In the same year he founded with French bagpipe player and singer Robert Amyot the group “A Brigà,” playing at numerous Italian and French folk festivals.
He records with them a CD “on time on the beat” which received the Bravo, a critics“ award from Tradmagazine. In 2010 he participated in a French television program ”Mezzo Voce.“ In 2011 he founded Uribà with which he recorded, in 2012, the Cd ”QB“ produced by the Folkclubethnosuoni label. In 2015 he joins the Piccola Banda di Cornamuse. In 2017, the first CD of the Piccola Banda di Cornamuse was released and his first CD together with Edmondo Romano (Cabit formation). This CD ”Unico figlio" is entirely dedicated to the Ligurian Christmas tradition.
Nicoletta Ghilino singer and songwriter, in 2014 founded the trio NI.CO with guitarist Alessandro Castelli and bassist Federico Fugassa. The album “Gone” will be released in spring 2018 and contains 10 pop/electro pop tracks).{:}
