From Thursday, Dec. 21 to Jan. 7, a Loano, the Mosaic Hall in Doria Palace, will host the exhibition staff of Roberto Lafornara, organized under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
“LAFOZ POP ART - explains Roberto Lafornara - is the title of the exhibition I will set up in the prestigious Mosaic Hall of Palazzo Doria. It will be a path that will run from Visual Poetry, inhabited by writing, a few elements and soft colors, to Paintings with pencils, used in an unusual way, from Serigraphy to Luminous Boxes where light becomes an integral part of pop thought, to my latest works.
My personal definition of folk art ventures down a lane parallel to Street Art but never totally meeting it. Using the stencil technique, I collect writings and thoughts that are often found on walls and find their limelight in my works. They thus become not only part of the outline, but allow the viewer to be able to enter with his or her own emotions into the painting itself.”
The exhibition, with free admission, can be visited from the Monday to Friday during opening hours of municipal offices.{:}
