Thursday, December 21 a Loano will take place the last event of the 2017 edition of Loano not only sea, an initiative curated by the Loanese Section of the C.A.I.. with the contribution and sponsorship of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The inland excursion program offers for this Christmas event the trip and lunch at the Pian delle Bosse Refuge.
Participants in the walks will be found at the 8:30 a.m, possibly with own car, in Valerga Square a Loano.
“As has been the tradition for years now," explains Beppe Peretti, CAI hiking companion of Loano - the last hike of the year will include a hike, with a choice of routes, to the Pian delle Bosse refuge for the customary lunch and end-of-year greetings.
Participants will be able to choose between three itineraries (all of course guided by our guides) with different degrees of difficulty: from the easiest (departure from Castagnabanca, disl. m. 250), to the medium (departure from Verzi, disl. m 650), up to the most challenging that will always start from Castagnabanca, but once reached the refuge of Pian delle Bosse will continue and climb up the southeast ridge of Carmo. From here will begin the most impassable part of the walk, which will go along the entire ridge, always very scenic and in some places aerial, in the direction of the Amici del Carmo Refuge: from the refuge plateau, a last climb (difference in height a hundred meters) will finally allow you to reach the large summit cross (m 1389). The return to the refuge of Pian delle Bosse will retrace the same route as the outward journey. Everyone will choose their own route and we will all meet at lunchtime at the refuge to celebrate.”
