Friday, September 29 a Loano the last event of the program “September Green at Loano”, sponsored by the’Department of Environment of the City of Loano in collaboration with the CEA - Centro Educazione Ambientale Ponente Savonese (Western Savona Environmental Education Center)..
The excursion “Bat Night: on the first heights of Loano with the bat-detector” will be dedicated to discovering the mysterious world of bats.
The night walk, free of charge, with an environmental guide will kick off at 18.00, in the parking lot under the “high” church in the hamlet of Verzi.
This will be a short hike with a small adventurous section: we will descend from the countryside to the creek encountering the various environments conducive to bat activity and then, as darkness comes, we can listen to their sounds with the help of a bat detector.
The guide will explain the special features of these animals.
Return is scheduled for 8:30/21:00 pm. Those who wish can have a picnic dinner during the listening break. The hike is especially suitable for children.
