Saturday, September 2, a Loano, the City of Loano Polyphonic Choir Will present the summer 2017 concert.

The musical evening, organized by the’Loanese Music Association under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano will take place in the’Oratory St. John the Baptist (White Hoods), to the 9 p.m..

The concert of sacred baroque music will open with “Magnificat” by J. Packelbel (1653-1706).

This will be followed by the performance of Psalmus “Nisi Dominus” from Vepres à la Vierge by M. A. Charpentier (1643-1704), Jesu Dulcis Memoria by T.L. From Victoria (1548-1611), Confitebor Tibi Domine by F. Spagnoli (1635-1704), Rondo in G major by G. Gherardeschi (1759-1815).

The musical evening will close with the Magnificat by A. Vivaldi (1678-1741).

The choir will be accompanied on the organ by William Vivino and directed by the Master Mattia Pelosi.

L’Loanese Music Association promotes initiatives aimed at spreading musical culture by organizing concerts and listening guides.

The City of Loano Polyphonic Choir, directed by Maestro Mattia Pelosi, is composed of a twenty or so choristers who share the pleasure of singing. The choir has specialized in recent years in the sacred repertoire of the classical and baroque periods with composers such as Haydn, Mozart, Durante, Vivaldi, E.D'Astorga, Packelbel, and Charpentier.

Altos: Anna Soave, Margherita Battisti, Nicoletta Marconi, Paola Plando, Giovanna Cogno

Tenors: Luigi Muratorio, Adelio Seveso, Carlo Ottone, Elio Giaconia

Bass: Simone Delmonte, Ubaldo Grillo, Calogero Messina, Vittorio Calvini, Paolo Stradella, Luciano Riolfo.
